Description

Stop guessing vertical clearances between crossing pipes & utilities. The Pipe Clash Checker (PCC) Lisp for AutoCAD is a high-utility LISP routine designed for civil engineers and utility surveyors. It bridges the gap between 2D plan views and 3D reality by calculating exact vertical separations at pipe intersection points.

Key Features

  • Automatic Slope Calculation: Computes pipe gradients (1 in X) based on your selected points and provided levels.

  • True 3D Clearance Check: Goes beyond simple invert-to-invert math by factoring in Pipe Diameter to calculate crown-to-invert clearance.

  • Visual Status Indicators: The tool automatically draws a color-coded circle at the intersection point so you can identify issues at a glance:

    • 🔴 RED (Clash): Pipes are physically intersecting.

    • 🟡 YELLOW (Close): Clearance is less than the 0.15m safety threshold.

    • 🟢 GREEN (Clear): Pipes meet the required safety clearance.

  • Command Line Reporting: Get a full breakdown of Pipe Lengths, Slopes, Intersection Levels, and Crown Levels directly in your AutoCAD console.

How It Works

  1. Type PCC in the command line.

  2. Select the Start and End points of Pipe 1, then enter its Invert Levels and Diameter.

  3. Repeat the process for Pipe 2.

  4. The script identifies the intersection, calculates the vertical gap, and places a visual marker on your drawing.
